You can define your own custom fields for most data items in Upvise.
To create a Custom Field, goto the Options menu of the app in your web account, and Custom Fields tab.
Click on New Field and enter a name (Label) and type of field.
The Custom Field will appear in the Edit screen of the data item, in the Custom Fields section, e.g Edit Contact, Edit Deal, etc...
Once a custom field value has been filled in, it will appear in the View screen of the data item.
Type field reference:
text: a single-line text input field
textarea: a multi-line text area field
select: a drop-down list with pre-defined values with a single selected choice. Enter choices in the Options field separated by |. Example "1:Yes|2:No|:Maybe"
selectmulti: : a drop-down list with pre-defined values where multiple choices can be selected. Enter choices in the Options field separated by |. Example "1:Yes|2:No|:Maybe"
checkbox: a check-box
date: a date selection widget
time: a time selection widget
duration: a duration selection widget
numeric: a numeric value input field. On mobile, the numeric keypad is displayed and only numbers can be entered.
Example: 23
decimal: a decimal value input field. On mobile, the numeric keypad is displayed and only decimals can be entered.
Example: 23.50 or 23
currency: a drop-down list to select from the list of pre-defined major currencies.
email: a text input field to enter an email. On mobile, tapping field in view screen will open the email app to send a new email to this recipient.
phone: a numeric value input field to enter a phone number. On mobile, tapping field in view screen will call the number
link: an input field to enter a web address or URL. On mobile, tapping field in view screen will open the web browser on this URL
contact: a drop-down list to select from the list of Contacts in Upvise
company: a drop-down list to select from the list of Companies in Upvise
user: a drop-down list to select from the list of Users in Upvise
product: a drop-down list to select from the list of Products in Upvise
project: a drop-down list to select from the list of Projects in Upvise
location: an input field to enter an address. On mobile, tapping field in view screen will open the Maps app on this address.
opportunity: a drop-down list to select from the list of Deals in Upvise
Equipment: a drop-down list to select from the list of Equipments in Upvise
barcode: a barcode scan widget. On mobile, take a picture of a barcode to scan a serial number.
pair: input an "id,value". Can be used e.g. to enter meter readings.
header: displays a header line in the View screen
signature: an input field to draw a freehand signature on the mobile.
