Commissioning is a process in which all sub-systems of an Asset are tested to verify that it functions according to its specifications and meets operational requirements.

Project

Commissioning is performed on the Assets listed within a Project.

Assets

An Asset is a piece of equipment. The Commissioning app defines only a single type of Asset.

Sub-systems

A Sub-system is a part of the Asset to be inspected.

Forms and Questions

A Form is a check-list or set of Questions used to inspect one Sub-system. Questions can be either in the electrical or mechanical disciplines.

Inspections

An Inspection is the process of testing one Asset. It consists of filling in the set of Forms related to each sub-system of the Asset. Different Users can fill in Questions related to the same Sub-system.

Users

A User is a staff member in your Upvise account and can take on one of the following roles: Site Manager, Electrical Supervisor, Mechanical Supervisor, Subcontractor.

Punch Items

A Punch Item is an issue found during an Inspection and it is tied to an Asset.

Documents

A Document is any kind of file (photo, image, PDF, etc...) attached to a Question, to help in answering the Question.
