A long time entrepreneur, Thierry has been involved with early-stage technology development and starting companies for more than ten years. In 2000, Thierry co-founded Mobipocket.com, and served as a CEO for seven years. Mobipocket became a leader in the market for electronic books on mobile and smart phones. In 2005, when Amazon.com acquired Mobipocket.com, Thierry joined Amazon.com as Director of Sofware Development in the Digital Media division. Before Mobipocket, Thierry was co-founder and CTO of OCTO Technology, which provides IT consulting services for major French corporations. In 1999, OCTO was acquired by AUBAY Technology Group. He graduated from Ecole des Mines de Paris, France in 1996. Nathalie TING, Founder and CTOAs the Chief Technology officer, Nathalie designed and built the Upvise architecture foundation. She currently spearheads all technology design and development for the company. In 2000, Nathalie co-founded Mobipocket.com with Thierry and served as CTO during 6 years. Nathalie led the product definition and development of Mobipocket Reader, the standard platform for mobile eBook reading on Symbian, Windows Mobile, Java and PalmOS systems, as well as the eBook distribution web services. In 2005, when Amazon.com acquired Mobipocket.com, Nathalie joined Amazon.com as Senior Product Manager. Before Mobipocket, Nathalie was a standards expert at Nortel Networks and was responsible for defining and advocating Nortel specification proposals in the GSM/GPRS and 3G UMTS standardization committees. She graduated from Telecom Paris, one of the top French engineering schools, with a major in Networking & Wireless Systems. Awards
